Solving the problem of gas prices with a “Gas Tax Holiday” is like solving the problem of unemployment by going on a “Job Holiday”.
And while we’re at it, $4 a gallon gas is pretty cheap if you think about it. I mean, let’s say you you wanted 8 pounds of rocks from half a mile under the ground of Venezuela. First you’ve got to pay some people to dig them up, then you’ve got to get them cleaned and packaged and shipped to America. Don’t forget to pay all the “fees” (i.e. bribes) to corrupt officials along the way. Hundreds of dollars later you’ve got your rocks.
If a gallon of gas is about 8 pounds, $4 for 8 pounds of gasoline s looking like a bargain.

Good to hear you weren’t fooled by the Gas Tax Holiday talk from a month ago. I think enough economists pointed out the silliness of the plan – hopefully the idea is buried by now.
One thought though – You’re going to be a one-man army if you want to claim $4 is cheap for a gallon of gas. The skyrocketing price of gas is hurting Americans when they fill up their cars, but it’s also driving up costs of food, natural resources, and all other goods. A lot of people are having trouble making ends meet, and spending a big chunk of their salary just on gas isn’t helping.
